The Trump administration’s handpicked team to respond to the coronavirus pandemic cut their testimony before the House Oversight and Reform Committee short to return to the White House for a meeting on the virus’ spread and growing dangers. (The Hill)
Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) said at the start of the hearing that it would end an hour and a half early because President Trump called an “emergency” meeting with the witnesses, who are leading the government’s coronavirus response.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), were testifying at the hearing. Both are members of the coronavirus task force.
“This morning we were informed that President Trump and Vice President Pence have called our witnesses to an emergency meeting at the White House,” Maloney said. “We don’t know the details, just that it is extremely urgent.”
At about 11:30 a.m., she ended questioning from lawmakers, saying she received notice from the White House that the witnesses needed to leave “now.”
Before adjourning, Maloney reiterated that she had no idea what would be discussed at today’s meeting.

The Trump administration should be tackling the media disinformation and lies campaign heavily. It will be impossible for people not to acquire the virus, just as it is impossible for some people not to get sick with influenza. The whole approach is wrong and the diabolical media is winning. The virus has a recovery rate of 99.7% and it is less dangerous and mortal than influenza. This is an election year and that should say volumes. I hope God enlightens these task force and the President and they come up with an effective solution to destroy the media’s vicious campaign to bring down the economy in the hopes of hurting the President.
We’re in agreement 100% on this, proudmomoffive! This is so out of control it isn’t funny, and it is simply the media’s and the hateful liberal Democrats attempt to continually harass and demean our President! It’s very difficult for me to imagine how heavy their hearts must be with all that hate, anger, and rage in them. 🙁
President Trump is responding to the increasing spread of the Covid-19 in metropolitan cities like NY and DC. Remember viruses seek the path of least resistance. People with weakened resistance are at highest risk. But if this virus is contained and limited to Infecting only this high risk category, it will stop. China has shown what must be done. The infection by the virus has almost stopped. Trump has just met with his team and we shall soon know what measures will be taken.
This has been a plan from the start for China to come up with this Virus in a lab. With the lefts push for open borders they could sneak people in and spread this virus. The virus may not be bad enough to kill millions of people because the President and his administration had a plan to deal with it quickly. Part of the plan was to cause chaos in the stock market and make people scared. It is an election year and what better way to try to beat President Trump is to cause Chaos in the markets.

I agree, the media and Democratic Party is making this out to be worse than it seems to be! They are blaming the president for something China started and brought to America!
Trump is the one blabbering disinformation to cover his belated action and ineptness. The media, in general, have reported only info reported by scientists and other knowledgeable persons. He is politicizing the danger as being just another flu. Nothing he blabs can be believed, he is a typical Russian oligarch who puts himself before God and Country.

Why are the doctors involved with controlling this virus having to take their time away from their jobs of saving the rest of us from getting sick to testify before the house committee, testify, what is the house looking for , criminal activity fighting this virus to nail the doctors and President Trump for criminal activity. Aren’t these doctors giving reports literally all day on all the TV stations about this virus and what is going on. What does the house think that they are lying. Let the doctors do their job and the house can watch FOX if they want to know what the doctors are reporting but I will bet it’s a trick to just pull the doctors away from their jobs hoping the virus will spread while the doctors are testifying.
Oh yea that is exactly correct, these Dr’s briefing the task force and so vital that we are all doomed. How dare Trump seek expert advice and council in person.
That is their (Dem controlled Congress) whole existence: Investigate what doesn’t exist and Stop efforts that help US citizens. Why else would you spend millions on illegal Russia collusion and then give illegal aliens free health care?
