Following Thursday’s news that Alec Baldwin would be criminally charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Halyna Hutchins, Baldwin has gone back to posting on Instagram.

While a celebrity posting a photo of their family is among the least controversial posts imaginable, when Bladwin chooses a caption that made many feel uncomfortable, suddenly, the disgraced actor finds himself back in the headlines.

Baldwin’s original caption read, “The old ‘let me give you a back rub’ ploy,” which was then later changed to “The old ‘let me give you a back rub’ ploy. Potato chips to follow.” Many took the original caption to be entirely inappropriate, with many commenting that “the old ‘let me give you a back rub’ ploy” should have nothing to do with a mother and child.

Baldwin’s explanation for changing the original caption on the post was “I adjusted the text… I guess because…you know…there is so much of that Reddit trash out there.”

This likely means that the caption was not meant to have sexual undertones. The social media platform Reddit is known and mocked for frequently having conversations revolving around sex and pornography, which is likely the reason why Baldwin referred to these comments as “Reddit trash.”

  1. Baldwin is one of those woke geniuses that promotes gun control to law abiding citizens. The irony of this is he is to stupid to handle or understand guns. First rule check the chamber & never point any gun at another person. Let alone pull the trigger, totally reckless unacceptable. Prosecute this clown, he must be responsible for his actions.
