Gal Luft, 57, the whistleblower who previously shed light on alleged illicit activities by Hunter Biden, is presently embroiled in a contentious legal battle. The Department of Justice (DOJ) under President Biden’s administration has indicted Luft on charges of illegal arms trafficking, operating as an unregistered foreign agent for China, and violating sanctions on Iran. A dual citizen of the United States and Israel, Luft stands accused of conducting clandestine operations, including undisclosed payments on behalf of Chinese entities to an erstwhile Trump advisor, while evading requisite registration as a foreign agent.

Historically, the United States has seen occasional instances of such covert operations. Nonetheless, it was not until recent years that charges relating to the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) were pursued with notable frequency. Observers suggest that the surge in FARA-related charges under the Biden administration could be politically motivated. Among the allegations levied against Luft is his facilitation of meetings between Iranian officials and a Chinese energy company, actions that violate U.S. sanctions on Iran.

Luft’s case gained public attention when he detailed his involvement in uncovering alleged corruption within the Biden family. In a poignant statement, Luft revealed:

“During a concentrated two-day meeting, I furnished my information about the Biden family’s monetary transactions with CEFC, inclusive of specific dollar amounts. I also identified Rob Walker, who later gained notoriety as Hunter Biden’s so-called bagman.”

As the situation developed, Luft was both dismayed and fearful, stating, “I, who volunteered to inform the U.S. government about a potential security breach and compromising information about a presidential contender, am now being pursued by the very same individuals I alerted—and may have to live in a fugitive state for the rest of my life.” Luft has insisted that his actions were not driven by partisan interests, adding, “I have no political motive or agenda … I acted out of deep concern for our nation’s well-being.”

The prosecution argues that Luft actively facilitated illegal arms transactions involving Chinese parties. These transactions allegedly included the sale of anti-tank weapons, grenade launchers, and mortar rounds to Libya. Luft is also accused of brokering weapons and unmanned aerial vehicle deals for the United Arab Emirates and Kenya. Despite his arrest in Cyprus in February, Luft evaded authorities after being released on bail and is currently not in U.S. custody.

Luft counters that the charges against him are unfounded and insists he is being targeted for his whistleblower activities. This sentiment is echoed by others who perceive the Biden administration’s DOJ as targeting those perceived as threats. Luft contends that his arrest in Cyprus was contrived to stymie his testimony before the GOP-controlled House Oversight Committee, where he planned to speak on alleged payments to the Biden family by individuals associated with Chinese intelligence. Critics of Luft, however, interpret these charges as further discrediting the corruption allegations leveled against President Biden.

This narrative takes on further complexity when considering the recent relocation of Tara Reade, who accused President Biden of assault during his senatorial tenure, as she fled to Russia due to safety concerns. While the link between her move and any potential threats from the Biden administration remains unclear, the common thread between her and Luft—both slated to testify before Congress—has raised eyebrows. If the Biden administration prevails, the public may never hear the testimonies of these individuals, casting a shadow over the transparency and accountability of the administration.

  1. Luft should be guaranteed complete immunity and safety for testifying before Congress. I’m sure this can be done, Congress needs to set the wheels on this in motion.

  2. Orwell’s 1984 has got nothin’ on this corrupt fake pResident and the Muslim usurper making dance (stumble) around the stage. These filthy slime balls need to go down.

  3. Watch the video and decide for yourself. Seems to mean he has nothing to gain or lose by telling the truth to the American people. He saw a wrong and wanted to make it known.

  6. First of all, your headline writer needs to learn the difference between an arrest and an indictment. You should be embarrassed.

“Observers suggest that the surge in FARA-related charges under the Biden administration could be politically motivated.”

Next, since there is a LONG list of Democrat leftists, who have NOT been charged (starting with the President’s son and brother) and a long list of Republicans and other political adversaries of the Democrats who have, I’d say this justifies a little bit more than a passing suggestion.
