A Democrat member of Congress was part of a plan to illicitly access the military records of Republican congressional candidates, which included the use of a Republican congressman’s stolen Social Security Number and outing a victim of sexual assault.

A new report in Politico reveals a Democratic research firm, working at the direction of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee used a stolen Social Security Number to obtain the confidential military personnel files of Nebraska Republican Congressman Don Bacon and Iowa Republican congressional candidate Zach Nunn.

The Air Force reports eleven people’s records were illicitly obtained, “virtually all” by the same research firm employed by the DCCC.

The revelation of the use of a stolen Social Security Number to swipe military records comes after it was revealed follows on the heels of revelations that Indiana Democrat Congressman Frank Mrvan was part of a plan to illicitly access the military records of his Republican opponent, Jennifer-Ruth Green, and out her as the victim of a sexual assault while serving in Iraq.

Politico reports:

“The Feb. 7 letter Bacon received from the Air Force names Abraham Payton of the research firm Due Diligence LLC as the person who ‘inappropriately requested copies of your military personnel records for the stated purpose of employment and benefits,’ adding that Payton was already in possession of Bacon’s Social Security number…

“DCCC did not return a request for comment on whether it received and used materials provided by Due Diligence Group during the 2022 midterms. According to Federal Election Commission records, the House Democratic campaign arm paid Due Diligence just over $110,000 between January 2021 and December 2022….

“Bacon said Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall first told him that an internal probe revealed 11 people’s records were disclosed and that the Air Force would send the results of its inquiry to the Justice Department — while offering no further information on whether a formal DOJ investigation would result. The GOP lawmaker called for a probe of the role played by a Democratic-linked firm that the Air Force told him ‘inappropriately requested’ his personnel records.

“The DOJ declined to comment. Air Force spokesperson Ann Stefanek said ‘virtually all’ of the 11 unapproved releases were made to the same third party ‘who represented himself as a background investigator seeking service records for employment purposes.’”

“This systematic weaponization of Republican candidates’ military service against them is beyond disgusting. It is time for the DCCC to stop hiding and face accountability for its actions. The Department of Justice must immediately begin investigations into this matter and if the DCCC violated the law, they should face prosecution,” said National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Richard Hudson

  1. Democrat Politicians are without a doubt the most crooked group of people alive ! They have been only looking to keep their party in power by any means with no concern about their SUPERIORS , The voters !! ! ! THIS IS WHY I LEFT THE DEMOCRAT PARTY DURING THE JOHNSON – GOLDWATER campaign. I got tir4ed of taking young Dem politicians and see them multimillionaires after one election cycle, win or lose !

  2. Just another act of pure TREASON by the democRAT party. They never pay for the sins they do. It may truly be time for another Civil War where it is the Republicans against the democRATS.

  3. We the people need to see to it that the Biden DOJ is investigated and prosecuted for what the DCCC did to get the soc. sec. numbers of 11 Republican servicemen. Merit Garland especially needs to be targeted in this investigation IF he refuses to see that this is investigated.
