Term Limits for Congress, Federal Employees

Cawthorn wants to “impose term limits on Members of Congress, such as six terms for Members of the House of Representatives and two terms for Senators, to incentivize long-term and strategic policymaking,” while also imposing “ term limits on Federal career employees.”

  5. Outstanding suggestions. With respect to federal employees, perhaps 15 years should be the limit for length of employment. This would allow ample opportunity to learn a job and to advance. Plus it would greatly reduce, if not eliminate the “deep state” and “permanent Washington DC”.
