Republicans are now demanding to know how a British national, Malik Faisal Akram, who had a known history of Islamic extremism was able to get into the United States after he took worshippers at a Texas Synagogue hostage.

Malik Faisal Akram, a British citizen from Blackburn, England, was shot dead by law enforcement over the weekend after he allegdly took hostages at a synagogue in Colleyville, Texas– none were killed. Akram was heard demanding the release of a Pakistani national in prison for trying to kill U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the U.K. Telegraph reported that he had spent three terms in prison, had been a member of radical Islamist group Tablighi Jamaat and been banned from a magistrates court in 2001 for telling an official he wished they had been killed in the 9/11 attacks. The Times of London reported that MI5 had briefly investigated him but determined there was no reason to elevate the case.

Sen. Josh Hawley, who also sits on the committee, wrote to both Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Secretary of State Antony Blinken calling for answers and tied the attack to an alleged failure in vetting by the administration — arguing it is “past time to begin conducting in-person vetting of immigrants to this country.”

“How is anyone with this background allowed to enter our country?” he asked in the letter, noting that Akram’s family had asked a similar question. “Either your Departments knowingly allowed entry to someone with demonstrated sympathies for terrorist organizations and predilection toward violence, or they failed to conduct even a cursory background check.”
House Leader Kevin McCarthy and Sen. Ron Johnson joined Hawley in their criticism of the Biden Administration over the incident.
It’s Criminal Action on Biden’s part. Impeachment should have already happened. Arrest every member of Congress that opposes closing the border for Treason.

Biden and the rest of his admin know exactly what they are doing. And do you really think this guy is the only terrorist that has been let into our country? Hell no! If this was done knowingly, we have a crime to solve and people to arrest and be tried. If it occurred because of a broken process, the process needs to be fixed and ALL visas that were granted previously need to be investigated with the end goal to remove from this country all that got through that should not have. This is the big problem when these incidents come up. No accountability and nobody fixes the problem.
I suspect we have thousands or tens of thousands of terrorists or people with criminal records that should not be here, but got here through the visa process. Who knows how many are here who came here illegally by crossing the southern border.

I shudder to think about our future with this administration allowing our porous border with a fat chance of stopping potential terrorists, not to mention others unvetted for anything. The progressives wanting to lock down those that choose to forego the jab while the health risks at our southern border are ignored.
