ANALYSIS – At an event Thursday commemorating the 10-year anniversary of the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial in Washington, DC, President Biden, with Vice President Kamala Harris sitting nearby, said, without any proof, that white supremacy motivated the unarmed rioters at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
Using extreme and misleading hyperbole he stated that, “The violent, deadly insurrection on the Capitol nine months ago, it was about white supremacy, in my opinion.” Biden also mentioned the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2017, trying to make a connection, despite there being none.
With dramatically sinking poll numbers, and myriad of self-inflicted crises and problems facing America, Biden-Harris, along with the rest of the Democrats panicking about the high likelihood of losing Congress in 2022, and the White House in 2024, appear to be doubling down on their obsession with lying about January 6.
Biden and Harris should both be reminded, along with Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) and the rest of the far left ‘Squad’ in Congress that the massive pro-Trump rally at the Capitol on January 6 had upwards of 100,000 attendees, and only a few hundred participated in any rioting.
That was truly a “mostly peaceful protest.”
The vast majority of the tens of thousands of rally attendees were there to protest what they perceived as election fraud, and to show support for President Trump. There is little to no proof racial motives had anything to do with the riot.
These far-left partisans shrieking inanely about “deadly insurrection” should also be reminded that the Capitol Riot was not an insurrection, since not one person out of hundreds targeted in the massive FBI witch hunt has been charged with insurrection, or sedition, or treason. As a matter of fact, the FBI reported after exhaustive investigation, as I reported in August, that there was no “No Planning or Coordination to Change Election During Capitol Riot.”
The few rioters charged have been mostly for minor property crimes, trespassing, interfering with official proceedings, disorderly conduct, and similar misdemeanors.
The far smaller in number, but more serious crimes, on January 6 involved assaults on police officers. These are unacceptable, as I have stated repeatedly, but no different from violent assaults on local and federal police officers at numerous BLM or Antifa riots throughout 2020, such as the Portland Federal Courthouse, or at the White House in May-June 2020 – which I witnessed personally.
Not one person to date has been charged or implicated in any racially motivated hate crime from the Capitol riot.
As for January 6 being deadly, only one person was killed during the Capitol riot on January 6 – an unarmed female US Air Force veteran named Ashley Babbitt by a law enforcement officer. We still have no official information on who killed her.
A Capitol Police officer – Brian Sicknick, sadly died of a pre-existing medical condition which gave him a stroke the next day. Despite aggressive attempts to tie his death to the riot, it simply wasn’t caused by any violence at the Capitol.
Three other rally attendees reportedly died that day from medical conditions. None were inside the Capitol or on the Capitol grounds.
Biden-Harris and the rest need to be called out on these lies.
No, January 6 wasn’t a “deadly insurrection.” And – no it wasn’t about “White Supremacy.”
It was 100,000 pro-Trump Americans peacefully rallying against election fraud and for their president, while a small minority of a few hundred violently rioted inside the Capitol.
Facts and truth still matter.
