Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore is warning liberals Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden can’t turn out enough voters to defeat Donald Trump, four years after he predicted Trump would defeat Hillary Clinton.
“Biden does not generate the necessary enthusiasm that it’s going to take to get people out,” Moore tells Vanity Fair magazine. “The Democrats are cynically counting on everyone’s desire to remove Trump.”
“This has been a crazy year, a crazy election year, a crazy year on so many levels,” Moore said. “Anything you would have predicted back in December or January is out the window. The year we thought we were going to have on any level is out the window. So if it’s all out the window, what else is out the window?”
Moore may have a point.
Polls show that while Biden has a large lead over Trump among registered voters, that lead drops sharply when the sample is narrowed down to those who plan to actually vote.
Among those, Biden’s supporters are less enthusiastic than Trump’s, possibly further eroding Biden’s lead.
ABC News reports a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll finds “strong enthusiasm for Biden among his supporters — at just 24% — is the lowest on record for a Democratic presidential candidate in 20 years of ABC/Post polls. More than twice as many of Trump’s supporters are highly enthusiastic about supporting him, 53%.”
Moore was one of only a few liberals who in 2016 predicted Trump would win, even though polls showed Clinton leading. He recognized the large numbers of undecided voters were a warning sign Clinton wasn’t generating enthusiasm, and those voters would largely break for Trump.
Moore supported Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democrat primary, arguing any loss of support for Sanders’ socialist views would be overcome by the increased turnout among the far left.

Lets hope hes right and Trump wins reelection. We need him but win or lose I think a civil war will start.
If he wins, the only thing stopping one will be those of us who’ve been more or less silently watching all of this. Maybe we can manage the same restraint, and maybe not. But if he loses to Biden, all bets are off. There’s no telling how bad it’s gonna get.
A civil war would not be a bad thing at this time. The radicals who are SOOOOO much in the forefront of the news would appear to be in control. However if you will note what happens every time trouble comes, you will see that the GOOD PEOPLE are the first to go buy more guns and ammunitions. I have never been polled neither has anyone I know. I think these polls are complete bs or they are only polling democrats.
Long ago, the business of polling became a studied affair. They KNOW what the thinking of given communities are. They know what a given phone number will likely say in any question. And so they are PAID to get the results they want. At one time, the polling was open and designed to give an accurate picture of what people were thinking Then they figured out that they could CONTROL elections by telling people what would activate them or leave them at home.
IF we demanded that ALL election results be held and not published until ALL results were in, the outcome would be different.
