Whistleblowers within the Federal Bureau of Investigation report officials demanded employees falsely classify cases in what appears to be an effort to support a Biden White House political campaign.
FBI officials pressured agents to reclassify cases as “domestic violent extremism” even if the cases do not meet the criteria for such a classification, House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan states in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray.
The push to falsify data came at the same time the Biden White House began a political effort to claim his critics were promoting terrorism, fueling concerns by watchdogs that “woke” FBI bureaucrats in Washington have adopted a partisan political agenda of interfering in elections on behalf of Democrats.
“Given the narrative pushed by the Biden Administration that domestic violent extremism is the ‘greatest threat’ facing our country, the revelation that the FBI may be artificially padding domestic terrorism data is scandalous,” Jordan notes.
“These whistleblower allegations that the FBI is padding its domestic violent extremist data cheapens actual examples of violent extremism. This information also reinforces our concerns—about which we have written to you several times—regarding the FBI’s politicization under your leadership,” writes Jordan.
“As we have detailed, multiple whistleblowers have disclosed how the Biden FBI is conducting a “purge” of FBI employees holding conservative views. You have ignored these concerns. It appears instead that the FBI is more focused on classifying investigations to meet a woke left-wing agenda,” Jordan adds.
Jordan cited reports directly from FBI employees:
New whistleblower disclosures made by multiple FBI employees from different field offices indicate that the Biden Administration’s narrative may be misleading. We have received accusations that FBI agents are bolstering the number of cases of DVEs to satisfy their superiors.
For example, one whistleblower explained that because agents are not finding enough DVE cases, they are encouraged and incentivized to reclassify cases as DVE cases even though there is minimal, circumstantial evidence to support the reclassification.
Another whistleblower—who led at least one high profile domestic terrorism investigation—stated that a field office Counterterrorism Assistant Special Agent in Charge and the FBI’s Director of the Counterterrorism Division have pressured agents to move cases into the DVE category to hit self-created performance metrics.
According to whistleblowers, the FBI uses these metrics to dispense awards and promotions. Every whistleblower has called it an environment of “pressure” within the FBI.

I was told by a retired FBI agent 3 years ago before he died that the FBI is crooked. Years ago they could be trusted not recently or now. First of all, a letter to Christopher Wrey is like telling the Devil to go to Hell, he’s as corrupt as the AG and the whole Biden crime family. Secondly, whining and complaining without consequences is like spitting into the wind, we need action! There is no reason that the Republicans could not engage their own “Special Counsel” to prosecute all of the lawbreakers, including the President! Get some guts, help save America!
This FBI situation is absurb…..just when we thought they were cleansing the department, it is just the opposite. This BS has come from Biden, Obama, Clinton and the other leaders in the Democratic party as the truth about them all is coming true and when they get scared, they will do anything to sanctify and protect themselves. The FBI, at one time, was the most honest organizations within our government. Comey & his cronies proved different and shed a new light on the FBI – with their unscrupulous dealings. Even for people to get a job with the FBI, they have to prove themselves to be honest, trustworthy people – virtually perfect. Now we hear another story about the corruption that is being pushed through the organizations! This is shameful and unacceptable!! This is why millions of Americans no longer TRUST the FBI nor the DOJ. Both have become corrupted by the Left the past 14 years which started under AG Eric Holder and FBI Director Mueller and continued with AG Lynch and Director Comey. AG Garland and Dir Wray are continuing the practices today…. The Deep State is vast and very deep in both organizations sadly.
