A Massachusetts high school football coach fired for criticizing Black Lives Matter and Critical Race Theory lessons in his daughter’s seventh-grade ancient history class will finally get his date in court.
The conservative public interest law firm Judicial Watch announced a trial date has been set for September 12, 2022 in the federal civil rights lawsuit filed of David Flynn, the father of two Dedham Public School students.
Flynn was fired from his job as Dedham’s high school football coach after objecting to materials in his daughter’s “World Geography and Ancient History I,” class that was historically inaccurate, was unrelated to history or geography and pushed radical liberal politics.
The lawsuit alleges:
In one assignment, Flynn’s daughter was asked to consider various “risk factors” and “mitigating factors” that two people – one identified as “white” and the other identified as “black” – purportedly might use to assess each other on a city street. Included among the various factors were skin color, gender, age, physical appearance, and attire. “Black,” “aggressive body language” and “wrong neighborhood” were among the “risk factors” purportedly assessed by the person identified as “white.” “White” and “Police officer” were among the “risk factors” purportedly assessed by the person identified as “black.”
The suit also alleges the teacher depicted herself wearing gay pride and Black Lives Matter shirts and taught students that all police officers are a violent threat to all black people.
Flynn and his wife brought their concerns to the teacher and middle school principal, expressing their belief the material was not age-appropriate, was unrelated to the course and pushed a biased political agenda.
He was then called into a meeting with the high school principle, handed a copy of an email he wrote criticizing the course, and was told he was fired.
School officials publicly announced the firing and admitted Flynn was fired for criticizing liberalism, stating he “expressed significant philosophical differences with the direction, goals, and values of the school district.”
Flynn’s objections are generally held to be constitutionally-protected speech, especially since he expressed his views privately to school officials.
“Coach Flynn was fired for exercising his First Amendment rights to object as a citizen and father to extremist racial propaganda in his child’s history class. The federal trial over this abuse can’t come soon enough,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Look up the statistics as to who rapes whom. The Father of 2 female children has a constitutional right to object to indoctrination into something which has NO EDUCATIONAL VALUE WHAT SO EVER.
