A retired member of the NYPD was gouged in the face for wearing a hat that read “Make Fifty Great Again.” This, of course, is a play on Trump’s campaign slogan “Make America Great Again.” The woman who allegedly struck him reported had keys in her hand or a ring on her finger when she struck, hence the deep gash in his face.
The worst part of the story was that he wasn’t wearing any actual Trump clothing, just a gag hat and shirt. For this ex-detective, that was enough for some deranged liberal to attack him.
