Virginia Democrats have also completely thrown away the electoral college, now the winner of the popular vote will get the electoral votes as opposed to the winner of the electoral college. While this will only apply if enough states join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, it is still shocking to see a state that was red a few years ago move towards this radical system.
