Some top officials are now listening to Zelenskyy’s pleas and have decided to support such a measure, in spite of the very real threat of nuclear war.

I am a conservative American. I don’t want a war with Russia, China or any other country. But if you think Putin intends to stop with the Ukraine you are dangerously delusional. He has made it clear his intention is to restore the Soviet Union to its original glory and he is blinded by his hate for the UD because he blames us for its breakup. If we do t do everybody to stop it in Ukraine it’s going to be on our doorstep before you know it. We tried to be neutral at the beginning of both World Wars, with catastrophic results.

I Know they mean World War 2 because all nations and continents where not involved in ww1 . Why was it called a world war when in reality it was not .
I believe that if the US and NATO put sufficient pressure on Russia it may well stimulate the already growing dissention among the Russian people, the Oligarchs, and the military to initiate a regime change. Facing Mutually Assured Destruction by escalating to nuclear weapons has an excellent chance of prompting Russia to remove Putin from the picture. From what I have read and watched, the Russians at all levels see this as Putin’s war rather than a defense of Russian sovereignty. Simply put Putin is a bully who felt he could invade the Ukraine without consequence given who he perceived as a weak and confused President and Administration that miscalculated in such a major way in Afghanistan. Allowing Putin to prevail in Ukraine only paves the way for a similar attack on Taiwan and major Iranian escalations in the Middle East. Someone previously said in effect “We can fight them over there or we can fight them here on our own soil”. The basement liberal bloggers should recognize that Taiwan manufactures some 90% of the silicon chips used to make their phones, tablets, and computers and its loss will strike at the center of their very existence. Trump was a fighter and Putin both respected him and feared him. If Trump was President, I sincerely believe Putin would not have invaded Ukraine, nor would China be posturing to invade Taiwan.
For once I agree with Adam Kinzinger: Putin is far too dangerous to be ignored. Putin makes a show of being righteous Orthodox. But let me assure you: Satan also pretends to be Christian. The acid test for me: how can any Christian man say: ‘Let’s go out and KILL innocent civilians for Jesus???’
