On Thursday, the news of Pat Robertson’s passing was met with disgusting celebration from the political left. Robertson, aged 93, was a prominent Christian evangelist who became a household name across America through his long-running “700 Club” television show. He transformed a small Virginia TV station into a global evangelical force, leaving an indelible impact on the Republican Party by infusing religious values into its core beliefs, and was a presidential candidate in 1988. However, his ideological adversaries wasted no time in inundating social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter with contemptuous messages.

The zealous disdain exhibited by his detractors upon learning of his demise exemplifies a distressing lack of basic human decency. This venomous display of gloating serves as a regrettable testament to the prevailing atmosphere of political hostility that now pervades our discourse, contradicting the oft-espoused principles of compassion and tolerance championed by the left.

Here’s a glimpse of the left’s tasteless reactions on Twitter:

“The fact that Pat Robertson went to Hell during Pride Month makes me almost believe there is a God..or Hell.”

“DING DONG THE B*TCH IS DEAD!! Rest In Hell Pat Robinson!!!!!”

“Pat Robinson is Dead.”

Robertson’s passing is a mournful loss. He leaves behind a beloved family, consisting of four children, 14 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous devoted followers who admired his teachings and leadership. Robertson’s wife, Dede, who played a vital role as a founding board member of CBN, passed away last year.

The jubilant reaction to his death by some individuals on the left not only disrespects Robertson’s memory but also reflects poorly on their proclaimed values. Although Robertson became a controversial figure, especially as the political landscape evolved, the left’s expression of joy over his passing was distasteful and devoid of substance. Regardless of one’s political or ideological inclinations, the death of any individual should be met with respect, rather than exploited for scoring points or showcasing vindictive delight.

  1. It shows their true colors. I used to listen to Pat Robertsons back in the 1990’s. He was a great Christian. May he rest in peace in Jesus’s arms.

  2. Pal Robertson was a gentleman, a scholar, and a preacher. A man of the cloth. A man of God. He is resting up in the Heavens above in God’s hands. And let us say Amen.
And the left can burn in HELL for all eternity to come.
