Jay Leno Seen For First Time Since Accident

After ten days of recovery and multiple surgeries, Jay Leno has been discharged from a Los Angeles burn center. He suffered third-degree burns on his face and hands from a fire in his garage. Dr. Peter Grossman told Fox, “I am pleased with Jay’s progress, and I am optimistic that he will make a full recovery.” “Jay would like to let everyone know how thankful he is for the care he received, and is very appreciative of all of the good wishes,” he added. Here is the photo released by the Grossman Burn Center:

Leno was working underneath one of his cars when flames erupted and burnt him severely. He had multiple surgeries while at the center, one was a “surgical excision and grafting procedure.”

Leno told Fox last week, “I got some serious burns from a gasoline fire. I am OK. Just need a week or two to get back on my feet.”

Tim Allen paid his friend a visit also, and put out this tweet:

  1. Of all of the people in this world that I most hate seeing hurt, Jay Leno is real high on the list. It is sad to see anyone hurt that way because it is painful and takes time to heal.
