Following Tucker Carlson’s surprise exit from Fox News, the network has introduced a revised prime time lineup. Fox News recently disclosed the updated schedule, stating that Jesse Watters’s program, Jesse Watters Primetime, will now fill the coveted 8 p.m. time slot formerly occupied by Carlson.

Suzanne Scott, CEO of FOX News Media in a press release:

“FOX News Channel has been America’s destination for news and analysis for more than 21 years and we are thrilled to debut a new lineup. The unique perspectives of Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, and Greg Gutfeld will ensure our viewers have access to unrivaled coverage from our best-in-class team for years to come.”

In 2004, Watters made his debut as a correspondent on “The O’Reilly Factor.” He quickly gained fame for his segments known as “Watters’ World,” where he conducted street interviews on current events and controversial topics. Often sporting a popped-collar polo shirt, his choice of attire was often mocked by O’Reilly. These segments showcased Watters’ blend of humor and confrontational interviewing style, which resonated with viewers.

As Watters’ segments on “The O’Reilly Factor” grew in popularity, he became a regular contributor to the show. In 2017, following Bill O’Reilly’s departure from Fox News, Watters was granted his own show titled “Watters’ World,” which aired on Saturday nights. The program featured a combination of interviews, panel discussions, and his signature on-the-street interviews.

“Watters’ World” quickly gained recognition as the fastest-growing cable news program. However, it has since been replaced in the prime time lineup. Watters has also attended Turning Point USA meetups in the past. In April, Tucker Carlson left the network, and Fox News issued a statement announcing their mutual decision to part ways. Despite reported threats of legal action from Fox News claiming breach of contract, Carlson has proceeded to launch a show on Twitter with Elon Musk as the host. Additionally, there are rumors that Carlson is preparing to establish his own media company, potentially abandoning “Tucker on Twitter.”

Fox News has implemented changes to its prime time programming lineup. Previously, Jesse Watters’s show aired at 7 p.m., but it has now been replaced by “The Ingraham Angle,” hosted by Laura Ingraham. Sean Hannity’s show, “Hannity,” will continue to air at 9 p.m., while Greg Gutfeld’s show, “Gutfeld!,” will move to the earlier time slot of 10 p.m. The program “Fox News @ Night” with Trace Gallagher will begin an hour earlier at 11 p.m., which was previously the time slot for Gutfeld’s show.

Comments

  1. I like Greg being on earlier because we record it and watch it after Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, Use to have to find something else to do for at least 15 minutes or we would end up having to deal with commercials. Now we can start watching right away.

  2. No Tucker Carlson-No Fox.Would like to know the Real reason these idiots let/allowed his dismissal.Talk about a real FU Fox.

  3. That’s just peachy Fox. However, I haven’t watched Fox News since you ousted Tucker, and probably won’t watch moving forward.
