After Massachusetts Democratic Senator Sen. Ed Markey was heavily criticized after wearing a pin saying “Abortion” with a heart shape in the middle. Many found the pin disgusting or depraved,  as it seemed to be celebrating a practice that takes the lives of millions of unborn children each year around the world each year, including between 600,000 to 1,000,000 unborn lives on average yearly in the U.S. alone.

On Twitter, Sen. Ed Markey said:

I’m wearing my abortion pin from @PPFA to tonight’s State of the Union address. Abortion is essential healthcare and we need to codify this right.”

Tucker Carlson, host of Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News, took issue with the pin, and discussed his disgust for the pin Sen. Markey chose during his Wednesday night show, saying:

There’s not a seal in the ocean or even at SeaWorld who would wear an ‘I love abortion’ pin. That is too low even for marine mammals. They may eat live fish, but they’re not ghouls. Congressional Democrats, by contrast, are ghouls.

Take a look at this pin, which has replaced the American flag on their lapels. Notice that the ‘O’ in abortion is in the shape of a heart. They literally love abortion. Now, let’s set aside the politics and ask an honest question, ‘Who loves abortion?’ Honestly, who loves abortion? Maybe you think abortion should be legal, but do you love abortion? Do you think abortion is a wonderful, affirming act you feel so proud of, you brag about it with jewelry? If you feel that way you should know that you are not defending a medical procedure, you wouldn’t say that about an appendectomy – no. You are promoting an ancient religious right called human sacrifice. That’s what this is, promoting human sacrifice. Let’s stop lying about it. It’s very obvious now.

There is certainly a difference between “loving” abortion, as opposed to not loving it, but believing it’s necessary under some circumstances. Unlike the Clinton-era policy of “safe, legal, and rare,” modern Democrats want them as frequent as possible and encouraged.

The pin that Sen. Ed Markey wore symbolizes encouraging women to not have families, Marget Sanger’s “Negro Project” era American eugenics, Planned Parenthood’s profits, and worst of all, over 63 million deaths throughout the United State since 1973. Since Roe v Wade, between 600,000 to 1,000,000 abortions occur per year, on average.

Abortion is minimized to a simple “medical procedure” when it’s convenient to Democrats, however, it’s elective in almost every case, and their primary utilization is to provide and simple convenience and escape from responsibility. The pro-abortion movement has been allowed to become so powerful that it has thoroughly infiltrated our culture and politics. We are seeing a massive shift in the way people view abortion – no longer as morally wrong, but something to be celebrated and embraced.
