The Democratic response after the House passed the “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” dubbed the ‘Born-Alive bill,’ was quite a sight to behold. The new law requires doctors to provide care for infants born alive after a failed abortion, which Democrats somehow labeled as “extreme.”
The bill’s goal is to assure that steps are taken by health providers to protect infants born alive after an attempted abortion. A decision so obvious that only partisan politics can leave 210 people in a room somehow attempting to make an argument as to whether a newborn baby’s life should be ended simply because an abortion didn’t work.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s response:
Nancy Pelosi was one of the first to respond to the bill’s passing, writing, “Today, instead of joining Democrats to condemn all political violence, [House Republicans] chose to push their extreme anti-choice agenda. Democrats believe everyone deserves the freedom to access reproductive health services – without fear of violence, intimidation or harassment.” Pelosi went on further in a second tweet which can be seen below:

Sen. Chuck Schumer’s response:
Schumer, as a Senator, did not vote on the bill but he shared similar sentiments as Pelosi. “The MAGA Republican-controlled House is putting on display their extreme views on women’s health with legislation that does not even have the support of the American people,” he wrote.

Vice President Kamala Harris also voiced his disgust for the extreme ‘anti-choice’ legislation, “House Republicans passed an extreme bill today that will further jeopardize the right to reproductive health care in our country,” Harris tweeted. “This is yet another attempt by Republican legislators to control women’s bodies.”

According to Fox News:
The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act says any infant born alive following an abortion attempt or that survives the abortion is a “legal person for all purposes under the laws of the United States.”
Doctors and healthcare workers would have to keep the child alive as a “reasonably diligent and conscientious healthcare practitioner would render to any other child born alive.” A child born at an abortion clinic that does not have adequate care facilities would be responsible for transporting the child to a hospital.
It is already illegal for doctors and nurses to deny care to individuals. Nearly every House Democrat on Wednesday voted against the legislation, which passed 220-210.
Republicans struck a much more practical note, rightly pointing out that Democrats were the ones with an “extreme” view for opposing a bill that intends to keep the live-born child alive and to receive normalized care.
That’s 210 murderers who have sealed their 1st class ticket to eternal damnation…
Did even a single Democrat vote against this infanticide bill? Where are the self-professed “moderate” or “centrist” Democrats?

this bill has nothing to do with a woman’s reproductive system. it has to do with the right to a child’s life. why are the sick dems determined to kill babies.
This is ridiculous ! There has never been a single instance of a baby that survived an abortion and was left to die by doctors or mothers . Late term abortions happen only in medical emergencies to save the life of a pregnant woman , and in these cases the fetus has always been non-viable and would not have been able to survive being brought to full term anyway and allowing this to happen would have been a death sentence to the woman .
Women don’t just capriciously decide to have abortions at the last minute when they are carrying a normal, healthy baby . And no doctor would. agree to do this . Stories of babies surviving botched abortions and being left to die are nothing but an urban legend created by the anti-choice movement . We must never allow any woman to die because of a pregnancy gone wrong .
A plea to all nincompoop Democrats who voted against the said bill and are in favor of infanticide.
It is about time you atone for the sin of your parents who had values deviant from yours and unfortunately gave birth to you. Reverse their misguided decision and impose your own values on them.
It is time you seek out Dr. Northam, the ex-Governor of Virginia, and ask him to counsel you, since society has made you comfortable since birth and it is time to reverse the decision.
