Since their November 8th Midterm election Senate race, the polling data between (R) Herschel Walker and (D) Raphael Warnock have maintained a razor-thin margin. Currently, Real Clear Politics has Walker up an average of 1.4 points. However, record high levels of early voting prior to the December 6th runoff election may not be in Walker’s favor, as Axios reports that 70,000 Georgians have cast a vote over 30 counties.
The December 6th runoff election was sparked due to 80,000+ votes for the Libertarian party candidate, Chase Oliver, who received over 2% of the total vote on November 8th. While early voting has started, Oliver will not be on the ticket for the run-off election, and Libertarians have a tendency to fall in line closer to Republicans than they do Democrats. Without Oliver on the ticket, many assumed that Republican and Libertarian leaning voters should close the gap between Walker and Warnock, however, the 70,000 early voters add another large question mark.
Early voting typically favors Democrats, and Republicans tend to have a better turnout on the actual election day. Axios goes on to report that Warnock and Democratic groups won a battle last week over the legality of an extra day of early voting on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, giving an indication of how Warnock and Democrats in all likelihood believe that extended early voting with a large turn out may assist them in getting a Senate majority with a Warnock win.
Republicans will need to close the gap that has likely been created by early voting on voting day, December 6.
why a great State like Florida would continue to elect a person like Warnock to represent them when he has done nothing to benefit that State. He is strictly in it for the salary he receives because the do not even want him in any leader ship role in their church
Warnock is from the State of Georgia. We don’t want him. Hopefully, the Libertarians will come out for Herschel Walker and hopefully, the record turnout also signals the total disgust with the Democrat Party in our state.
Early voting will deliver for the democrats, like always.
Agree, allows time for vote harvesting and coaching which are suppose to be taboo. Plus the domination of public education (indoctrination) and entertainment industry has help build a large pool of low info Dems that they can harvest votes from.
The runoff is in Georgia.
But I thought the voters were being suppressed?
They are. They cut down the number of drop boxes to 1 per 100,000 people, they put the drop boxes inside buildings that close at 5pm, they reduced the days of early voting (even though they won 1 weekend back in court) they cut down the normal period for the time before the runoff election, and they made it a felony to hand out water or snacks to people in line.
so, in other words, they made it so that you have to get off your lazy ass and make an effort to vote instead of relying on runners to stuff all those drop boxes for your ass. Record turnouts now, makes Democrats look like the complete fools and liars, they are!! hahaha
they have 17 days of early voting, how frikin many do you need?
that’s just another typical liberal lie ……
I voted for Hershel Walker Yes did So did my Husband and most of my neighbors. WE voted on the first day and are definitely republicans
Not an election, rather a selection. The Dems have to voting machines and all the levers of power. It’s over.
Warnock must NOT win!!! Just look at this guy. His church and the fallout there…his evicting
people while being paid more than he is worth!!! Dark money and Hollywood & of course
Demo’s want him there!!! Walker is a much better choice !!! Don’t settle for 2nd best….give
Walker his chance…I believe you will all be glad you did. Warnock, not the best fit for you!!!
Don’t be disappointed…VOTE WALKER!!! If you don’t you will all be stuck like Chuck!!!! He \really deserves a chance here to show what he can do…Herschel will represent you the way
you want to be represented…..you’ll be proud you did. Warnock just want’s the money and
will not benefit you the way Walker will……..search your heart do the right thing give Herschel
his shot to show and serve your great state…..thank you…..
Democrats always win the early voting where control and scrutiny are practically non existent. Republicans win election day in person voting is checked for everyone to see.
Unless voting machines in Repub districts mysteriously break down as AZ experienced.
Wonder How Many Ballots are “LEGAL” Ballots ?
Dems have learned a valuable lesson from Arizona. Get there people to vote early do they can harvest and Coach their low Info constituents, then on actual Election Day cause voting issues in Repub districts so people can’t vote. Say it’s too bad you waited till Election Day to vote. Presto magic Dems claim victory. Repubs complain and media calls them election deniers! Our new democracy Chicago Style brought to you by the great community organizer.
