The heavily redacted affidavit used to justify the unprecedented raid on former President Trump’s home at Mar-A-Lago has now finally been released. The raid was reportedly connected to an FBI investigation into former President Trump’s alleged decision to retain numerous classified documents.
As The Wall Street Journal reports:
The Justice Department has released a redacted version of the affidavit that led a judge to approve a warrant to search former President Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago.
The affidavit, which was due to be filed in federal court in Florida by noon, is expected to offer new glimpses into the Justice Department’s investigation into Mr. Trump’s handling of classified material and presidential records as well as the government’s justification for the Aug. 8 search.
Justice Department officials, citing national-security concerns and fears of witness intimidation, are expected to have removed sensitive details about tactics and the direction and scope of the probe. But even a redacted document could shed new light on what led to the search, which set off a furious political response and heightened the legal jeopardy for Mr. Trump as he contemplates another White House bid.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, who approved the warrant to search the Florida complex, on Thursday ordered the government to release the redacted affidavit after advocacy groups and news-media companies, including Dow Jones & Co., the publisher of The Wall Street Journal, petitioned the court earlier this month to make the document public.

I would like to see the actual document. How much was blacked out? Names of those who under oath gave information to grant this charade in the first place. I bet no names could/can be provided. Remember, these are the same people who parallel with “The Dossier” and confirmed it’s validity to Judge’s to grant F.I.S.A. warrants! A complete lie/hoax!!!!

The President declassified everything that was packed by staff before he left the White House.
The court needs to hold the FBI in contempt unless they dnas ordered with no blacked out information!!
Headlines have been the prosecutorial tool to try then President Trump and former President Trump in the jury of public opinion. The Dems and their media partners in crime have had a lot of practice at this, and it shows. We continue to see a willingness in our Department of Justice to secure search warrants to seek information for A- Headlines and B- Headlines which get a Grand Jury, which leads to C- more Headlines.
All of this is comparable in effect to the Mueller “investigation”, which helped sway public opinion in 2018 to elect a Democrat majority in the House.
Equally disturbing is the wanton, reckless disregard for the fundamental protection provided by the 4th Amendment. We now see search warrants to find a crime, rather than search warrants to locate evidence to prosecute a known crime.
The attorney class in America, long the least respected class of “professionals” in the U.S., has become the harvesters of false information to use for political power. We are being destroyed from the inside.
Nobody trusts a heavily redacted document for our current government.
