A far-left wing professor at Harvard University is now accusing Tucker Carlson and what he calls the ‘Trump’ wing of the GOP of treason for daring to oppose U.S. involvement in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

A left-wing Harvard Law professor drew fierce criticism for suggesting that Fox News host Tucker Carlson and the “Trump wing” of the Republican Party could be considered as backing Russian President Vladimir Putin and committing treason for their remarks opposing the U.S. intervening in the conflict in Ukraine.
“Led by Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson, the GOP’s Trump wing appears to be throwing its weight behind Putin. If Putin opts to wage war on our ally, Ukraine, such ‘aid and comfort’ to an ‘enemy’ would appear to become ‘treason’ as defined by Article III of the U.S. Constitution,” Laurence Tribe wrote early Monday morning in a now-deleted tweet.
Tribe’s tweet was aimed specifically at Carlson, who has dedicated multiple opening monologues to the issue of Russia and Ukraine, expressing his opposition to U.S. intervention in the conflict and prioritizing the problems at the U.S.-Mexico border over the Ukraine-Russia border.

Legal experts and Twitter users quickly pointed out that Tribe had gone too far, and that there was not a Constitutional argument to bring treason charges against Carlson or others.
Tucker has been one of the lone voices on the Right to oppose pro-Ukrainian intervention.

It is my understanding that Ukraine is NOT an ally of ours, nor are they part of NATO so they aren’t really an ally of anyone. My second thought to the comment of this professor is: were those who opposed our entering the Second World War — and there were many who were loud and strong — even though they had attacked our land committing treason? It seems to me that Tucker Carlson, as anyone in the US, has the right to express his/her opinion. That’s called freedom of speech, which at one point was honored in this country as sacrosanct because it is the very first amendment to our Constitution. The folks on the left of left think that things like freedom of speech are meant for them alone and anyone who disagrees with them needs to be shut up. C’mon man.

Where was Mr. Tribe during the late 60’s and early 70’s while the anti-war (Vietnam) demonstrations that turned violent? Bet he didn’t think that those events were treason or an insurgency.

When Ukraine surrendered its nuclear weapons, it was assured that the US would come to their aid if Russia came against them. Twice Russia has invaded Ukraine, and twice the US ignored the Ukrainians. Is our word worthless? It would seem so, at least when you’re a Democrat.

From what i gather from tucker wasn’t that he liked putin, but that you must be careful and respect the fact he has nukes. i am concerned that the world turning on putin so hard could turn him into a cornered rat with nothing to lose. you would hope that there are people within the russia that wouldnt launch them, but im not so certain
We wouldn’t be interested in Ukraine if it weren’t for the OBiden family cabal’s economic interests there. OBiden was appointed by Obama to handle the Russian annexation of Crimea and all we got was a lot of bluster with no action and Russia is still in Crimea. If it weren’t for Hunter getting a paycheck from Burisma and giving a cut to the “Big Guy”, I doubt Papa Joe would even know where Ukraine is, let alone care enough to do anything about it.
