Gerald Ford succeeded Nixon after he stepped down following the president’s impeachment. Nixon was never impeached and Ford pardoned him after taking office.

Ford saw inflation fall by more than half under his leadership. Under his watch, crime slowed by nearly 75%, and unemployed dropped significantly.
