Richard Nixon

Richard Nixon’s achievements are often forgotten in American politics. They are highly overshadowed by the alleged scandal surrounding the former president.

Nixon founded the Environmental Protection Agency, signed the Clean Air Act in 1970, and visited china in 1972 which eventually led to diplomatic relation between the nations. Nixon also signed the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty with the Soviet Union.

Most of all, he led the successful effort to land a man on the moon.

A little known fact: Nixon actually knew the queen before he was president. He actually showed the queen around Washington, DC in 1957. Their meeting once he was in office was only a reunion.
