John F. Kennedy

John F. Kennedy was heavily involved in the Cold War. He oversaw significant advances in civil rights and led the US economy as it came of recession. He was famous for his quotation:

“Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country.”

Here, he is depicted in his trip to Buckingham Palace where he met the royal family.

In June of 1961, President Kennedy and his wife Jackie dined at Buckingham Palace. They pose for photos with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh. The queen has met with every US President from Eisenhower to Obama, except for Lyndon Johnson.
