Latest Polling Shows A Challenging Landscape For The Biden Administration In 2024, With Concerns About Biden’s Age And Mental Abilities, The Economy, Rising Crime, And Perceptions Of An Open Border.

Biden’s Open Border

  • Harvard Harris poll reveals a prominent view among swing-voting independents, with a majority believing the southern border is open and border laws aren’t enforced.
  • Of 2,103 voters surveyed, 56% perceive the border as largely open, including 78% Republicans, 57% independents, and 36% Democrats.
  • This comes at a time when many American cities are struggling to find housing for the large influx of illegal immigrants, including left-wing cities such as New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.

Illegal Immigration Concerns

  • 53% of Democrats, 88% of Republicans, and 74% of independents feel illegal immigration is worsening.
  • 71% of the total respondents agree with the negative outlook on illegal immigration.
  • Since October 2022, around four million illegal immigrants crossed the southern border, along with two million legal entrants (workers, refugees).

Biden’s Approval & Immigration Issue

  • Immigration is a significant concern for voters, ranking third at 24%, behind jobs (27%) and inflation (33%).
  • Biden’s immigration approval rating stands at a low 36%, comparable to his overall approval rating as President.
  • Current opposition to mass migration policies is growing, as reflected in polls showcasing rising disapproval rates across various voter groups.
