Congresswoman Proposes $16 Million Fine for Rep. Adam Schiff
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., introduced a resolution to fine Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., $16 million for his claims of collusion between Trump and Russia in the 2016 election. Luna stated that this amount is about roughly half of the expenses incurred in the federal investigation, which has been debunked by reports from both Mueller and Durham.
Fox News reports, the resolution holds Schiff accountable for betraying trust, abusing authority, and spreading lies. It demands Schiff to pay the $16 million fine, representing half of the taxpayers’ cost for the Russia investigation, which was confirmed to have been a false narrative with no evidence that Rep. Schiff and other Democrats pushed since Trump’s election in 2016.
Resolution Calls for Expulsion of Rep. Adam Schiff for Propagating False Narratives in Durham Report
Along with the proposed fine, a resolution has been introduced to expel Rep. Adam Schiff from Congress for promoting false narratives in the Durham Report. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna’s resolution highlights Schiff’s misuse of privileged information as Chair of the House Intelligence Committee, accusing him of fabricating collusion evidence.
In a press release issued on May 17, Rep. Luna stated:
“Adam Schiff lied to the American people. He used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman. He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives.”
Taking to Twitter as well, Rep. Luna further expressed her thoughts, stating:
“The deliberate use of one’s House Intel position to propagate falsehoods that tore our nation apart, burdened taxpayers with exorbitant costs, and authorized intrusive surveillance on a sitting President, coupled with an unwavering commitment to this deception even after the Durham report’s release, renders one unsuitable for public office. It is imperative that ethics inquiries be conducted.”
Knowingly using your position on House Intel to push a lie that ripped apart our country, cost taxpayers millions of dollars, and authorized spying on a US President and then proceeding to double down on the lie within days of the Durham report coming out makes you unfit for… pic.twitter.com/A8rTBPY77Z

The resolution accuses Schiff of deceiving his Committee, Congress, and the American people by spreading falsehoods, endorsing the Steele dossier, and accusing Carter Page of collusion. It also alleges that Schiff exploited his positions for personal gain, initiating a fraudulent investigation for political purposes and fundraising.
Luna’s resolution holds Schiff accountable for promoting false narratives in the Trump-Russia investigation. House Speaker McCarthy shares credibility concerns. The Durham report found no evidence of Trump-Russia coordination, leading to criticism from Schiff and other Democrats. Luna’s resolution aims to deter future lawmakers from spreading false narratives and tarnishing a President’s reputation.
Durham Report Highlights Failures in Trump-Russia Probe by DOJ and FBI
John Durham’s report exposed failures in the DOJ and FBI during the Trump-Russia probe, deviating from strict adherence to the law. Schiff, who asserted evidence of Russian collusion, dismissed the report as “flawed.” Durham’s findings revealed no coordination between Trump’s campaign and Russia in the 2016 election.

Schiff labeled Luna’s resolution as payback for holding Trump accountable, saying:
“MAGA extremists just filed a motion to censure and fine me $16 million because I stood up to Donald Trump and his allies. They’re 8 days away from defaulting on our debt, but Speaker McCarthy and his MAGA allies would rather try to silence me. But I’m not backing down. Ever.”

Luna’s resolution seeks to censure and condemn Schiff for misleading the public. It proposes a $16 million fine for accountability. Luna urges House leadership to support the motion and ensure appropriate consequences for Schiff’s actions.
