Tense Final Moments Before McCarthy’s Gavel

After Rep. Matt Rosendale’s trick vote, the fight between Mike Rogers and Matt Gaetz, which resulted in Rogers needing to be restrained, and a historic FIFTEENTH vote you can imagine the tense vibes the House floor suffered. Though after the fourteenth vote Friday night it seemed the House would leave things as is until Monday at noon. And while Democrats of course opposed this idea, being in the minority left them without much say. Though as House Republicans came to a resolution they quickly exchanged their adjournment votes to stay and vote one final time into early Saturday.
