A political firestorm erupted last night when Politico revealed a leaked document from the Supreme Court that suggested that the court was going to overturn Roe V. Wade.

The document that was leaked was the opinion of Justice Samuel Alito, in the opinion he wrote:

We end this opinion where we began. Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives.

The Judgment of the Fifth Circuit is reversed, and the case is remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion.

The news sparked protests in Washington D.C. last night and Chief Justice Roberts has launched a massive investigation into the leak and the FBI might be brought in to determine the source of the leak.

Senate Democrats are also currently planning to force a vote on abortion in the coming weeks. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schummer said in a statement “Now that the court is poised to strike down Roe, it is my intention for the Senate to hold a vote on legislation to codify the right to an abortion in law.

With the topic of Roe V. Wade in the news, legal scholars, journalists, and commentators are looking into past efforts to strike Roe v. Wade. Interestingly enough Joe Biden came up, when Biden was a US Senator he voted to allow for states to individual overturn Roe v. Wade.

In 1981 Senate Republicans put forward legislation that would have allowed each individual state to overturn Roe v. Wade, this legislation was supported by Several Republican Senators and Democrat Senator Joe Biden.

At the time Biden said, “I’m probably a victim, or a product, however you want to phrase it, of my background.” Biden stated that the decision to vote on the measure was “the single most difficult vote I’ve cast as a U.S. Senator.

The legislation did not have enough support to leave the committee at the time but it would come back a year later for a full vote on the Senate Floor. When it came to the full vote, Senator Biden did not support the measure.

President Biden, an alleged Roman Catholic, has had a mixed history when it comes to abortion policy. When he was first elected into the Senate in 1973, Biden said that the Supreme Court had gone too far in Roe v. Wade. In 2017 Biden left the White House as Vice President he said that the government doesn’t have “a right to tell other people that women, they can’t control their body.”

  1. Hunter and I have done nothing wrong? Joe bidens two biggest lies since he has been in office “the buck stops with me ” this over the hill failure, has not stopped blaming everyone for his continual stream of cluster fxxxs since his first day in office, The second biggest lie was his violation of oath of office to protect and serve which he has violated from day one including his lie of being fit to serve. First impeachment then jail, his latest comment that he and Hunter have done everything by the book, what fxxxing book? some biden crime family BS, starting with if you tell a lie long enough it becomes the truth. When the investigations begin, the truth will come out, about all the pots of gold the biden family have received from accepting money from our adversaries do do what?

  2. Joe is too stupid to remember what he did yesterday. He won’t remember his so called pro life days

  3. The best way for a woman to control her body is refrain from illicit sex! If she doesn’t want an unwanted pregnancy, take birth control, protect yourself. It isn’t the baby’s fault YOU were irresponsible! Now it must pay with it’s life! Every woman having an abortion should be sterilized to prevent a repeat performance! A lot of women use abortion as a means of birth control, sterilization would stop that!

  4. Even if the SCOTUS kills off Roe v Wade and the democrats manage to pass a law allowing it, there’s nothing to say that someone couldn’t sue and take it to court. When it finally gets back to the SCOTUS they can say that it’s an unconstitutional law and overturn it. There are a lot of other things that the government shouldn’t be involved in besides abortion but that would be a good start in cleaning things up a little.
