President Bill Clinton’s public relations fiasco press junket with author James Patterson over the pairs’ new novel about Clinton’s fantasy to get rid of Hillary has gone from bad to worse (RELATED: You’ll Never Guess Who Bill Clinton Kills Off in His New Novel).

Amid the breathless speculation about the imminent Donald Trump-Kim Jong-un meeting and the continued fallout from the G7 summit – a transcript from Bill Clinton’s interview with PBS’ NewsHour was nearly lost to history. Unfortunately, for Bubba, that didn’t happen.

The former president, who stands accused of everything from abusing his immense power as commander-in-chief to coerce a young, naive intern into a sexual liaison to raping a campaign volunteer made strikingly tone-deaf statements about sexual harassment and assault – including his opinion that “what you can do to someone against their will” has changed.

The New York Times’ Alex Burns tweeted an excerpt from one of the few articles covering Clinton’s head-scratching comments:

Clinton seemed to imply that he believes there was a time in which doing something against someone’s will was acceptable. Based on evidence suggesting Clinton’s predisposition to sexual predation, this isn’t too surprising.

Clinton also defended ousted Senator Al Franken (D-Minn.), who begrudgingly resigned from the Senate amid growing sexual harassment allegations. Again, Clinton attempted to marginalized Franken’s behavior and feigned ignorance by saying “maybe I’m just an old-fashioned person.”

Unfortunately, Bill, there’s nothing old-fashioned or endearing about facing detailed, credible sexual harassment and rape allegations.
