President Donald Trump’s approval rating is through the roof, according to the latest Rasmussen poll.

The iconic pollster has Trump’s approval rating up to 49 percent, which is his highest since the beginning of May 2017.

What’s more, Trump’s disapproval rate has also dipped to 49 percent, meaning that, for the first time since April, his disapproval rating is on par with his approval rating.

The stunning turn of events for Trump comes on the heels of a poignant State of the Union address where polls showed 75 percent of viewers approved of the speech and more promising economic news centered around the Republican tax reform, which is gaining popularity quickly.

But what’s even more surprising is the speed at which Trump is picking up support. As recently as Monday –the day before the State of the Union – Rasmussen had Trump’s approval at just 43%, six points lower than it is now, and his disapproval at 56%, seven points higher than it is today.

Trump and congressional Republicans still have their work cut out for them, but with rising poll numbers things look markedly better than they did even a week ago.
