Rosie O’Donnell could be in legal trouble – after trying to bribe two Republican Senators to vote against the tax reform bill, for two million dollars apiece.
On Twitter, O’Donnell tweeted to Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), writing:
susan – 2 million dollars cash

O’Donnell later doubled down on her offer–and even offered to buy out another Republican, Senator Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.)
so how about this

2 million dollars to senator susan collins

O’Donnell’s tweets are, in fact, a criminal act, even if no money changed hands: merely the offer of a bribe is enough to violate federal law.
If prosecutors convict O’Donnell of attempting to bribe two U.S. Senators, she could face up to $6 million in fines and 30 years in prison. She could also be banned from seeking federal office.
