During Barr’s two-day confirmation, he received bipartisan praise from the Senate Judiciary Committee.
That didn’t stop Barr from brandishing his conservative credentials. The respected attorney, answering Democrats’ inquiries, revealed he believed the Founding Fathers did not intend to create the right to abortion. Therefore, Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided and should be decided by state legislatures.
Committee Chairman, Joe Biden, although disagreeing with Barr, thanked him for his candor – something all too rare in Washington, D.C.
Barr received unanimous approval from the Judiciary Committee.
