Republican candidate Bob Hugin revived salacious allegations that Menendez had sex with underage prostitutes during past trips to the Dominican Republic.
Menendez denied the accusations repeatedly since the news broke in 2012.
That didn’t stop Hugin from blanketing the airwaves with ads showing court documents filed by prosecutors acknowledging the FBI probed the child prostitution allegations as part of the government’s case against the Senator.
Content to ignore the salacious allegations for partisan gain, the Democratic Party poured money into New Jersey to save the incumbent.
