Karen Monahan is Keith Elision’s ex-girlfriend. She, briefly, received national media attention when she stepped forward to claim that the prominent congressman, currently running for Minnesota attorney general, abused her.
These physical and psychological beatings reportedly occurred throughout their three-year relationship.
News broke after Karen’s son posted to Facebook, saying that he had seen the tapes of Ellison beating his mother. Monahan has stated that she feels left behind by fellow Democrats because the party subsequently dismissed her – supposedly for the sake of political convenience.
