Arianna Huffington, the self-proclaimed champion of women’s struggles and founder of The Huffington Post, made a colossal error in judgment choosing Jimmy Soni as her protégé.
Soni was the Managing Editor at HuffPost. His modus operandi involved habitually selecting white, blonde women as his interns. While this raised eyebrows, Huffington couldn’t care less.
Soni was eventually transferred to launch HuffPost India. In November, reporters discovered this new assignment was the direct result of a human resources investigation, which confirmed Soni sexually harassed multiple young women in the New York office. Moreover, documents prove Huffington knew about his misconduct – well before HR got wind.
