Andrew Cuomo has been embroiled in controversy recently since New York Attorney General Leticia James finished her investigation into his misdeeds and found that wrongdoing had occurred with 11 women.
According to The Hill:
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) has resigned from office after a bombshell report released by state Attorney General Letitia James (D) found he sexually harassed 11 women, including some who worked in his office, and violated state and federal laws.
Cuomo had been inundated with calls for his departure and faced an impeachment hearing in the state Assembly that appeared all but guaranteed to spark a trial in the state Senate. Should he have survived potential impeachment proceedings, he also faced daunting reelection prospects in 2022.
His resignation followed a 45-minute news conference from Rita Glavin, his attorney, during which she refuted the allegations in the report and attacked the credibility of the investigators and women who came forward with accusations.
But Cuomo, in his own press conference immediately after, announced he would be stepping down in 14 days.

Cuomo was defiant up until the very end with many people close to the situation feeling as though he would need to be removed from office rather than resign.
What else was there left for him to do?

Indeed, the public was even allowing him to portray himself as the “hero” of the “COVID crisis”, despite the virtual murder of all these helpless grandparents, whose deaths could be directly traced to his orders. Something is seriously wrong with this country, tho’ Cuomo’s departure provides at least a bit of redress. I do hope, as the investigation reveals how much his brother (Chris/Fredo) betrayed his journalistic ethics to help the Governor manage and hide this behavior, that this is not the last of the Cuomo spawn to be consigned to the trash heap.

If the sexual harassment charges are true he should resign. Worse than than the sexual harassment charges, though, are the accusations that he put patients who were Covid positive back into nursing homes, infecting thousands more. If these charges are valid they would be more damaging because of the far greater number of patients affected and that there were probably thousands of deaths which resulted from this decision. If these charges are true then jail time should result.
