British journalist Piers Morgan called out “annoying” left-wing activist Francesca Fiorentini on Wednesday after she gave a monologue on how he gets clicks by starting fights on shows.
During “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Morgan began to agree with another guest about not traditionally aligning with either the Republican or Democratic Party while discussing Fox host Kat Timpf’s new book. Fiorentini interrupted him, calling his comments “dishonest” and stating how the show revolves around playing off of the “social media algorithms.”
“I completely agree, I’m a bit like that. I don’t park myself into either the Right or Left camp,” Morgan began. “I like to take everybody on, challenge their opinions, have good debates — have debates like today. We get people with very different views [to] come on and talk to each other and I would like to think — “
“You’re so dishonest, dude. You’re so dishonest though because all you do on this show is play off social media algorithms to get people to fight. You lead with it on the cold open and you get the click, click, clicks and if you don’t hit a mil[lion] you never ask that person back,” Fiorentini said.
Fiorentini continued to call out Morgan for “pretending” to placate both party’s, claiming how women are “extra vulnerable” to being called out online.
“You literally play the game that Kat is decrying. I love the idea — especially, I love Kat’s book and the way it targets women because specifically women are the ones who if we say one thing that you don’t like [you’re like], ‘Ah I hated you from the beginning.’ Right?” Fiorentini continued. “Women are extra vulnerable to this, especially online. But Piers stop pretending like you think there’s something wrong and we can’t — why can’t we reach across the aisle and hold hands. Because your whole algorithm is based on it — your whole model is based on it.”

“Francesca, it’s a lovely statement that will get you lots of clicks from your followers and that’s why you’ve just delivered your little monologue. However, it’s based on a —” Morgan interrupted.
The two continued to argue, with Morgan repeatedly attempting to rein in the activist by saying, “Wait a minute.”
“You don’t normally get a million views for me, but I still invite you back. So that can’t be true. I do it as an act of charity because I like you,” Morgan said.
Fellow guests on the show could be seen trying to suppress smiles as the two argued, with Morgan getting the final word by telling Fiorentini he enjoys having her on because she’s “so annoying.”
