In an early Wednesday morning operation, the FBI fatally shot a man from Utah who had been under investigation for alleged threats against President Joe Biden and others. The threats were deemed credible by authorities, and the U.S. Secret Service was informed of the investigation. The shooting occurred at 6:15 am local time in Provo, Utah, as special agents were attempting to execute arrest and search warrants.

Alongside threatening online posts, the unidentified individual indicated that he was preparing to take physical action against the President. The authorities considered these threats serious and credible, necessitating the intervention.

Following the incident, the agency released a statement saying:

“The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously. In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide.”
