Large-scale demonstrations broke out outside Dodger Stadium, where a considerable gathering voiced their dissatisfaction with the Los Angeles Dodgers’ decision to pay tribute to a drag troupe known as the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. This group identifies itself as “queer and trans nuns.” The protesters, who were organized by a faction called Catholics for Catholics, expressed their opposition to what they viewed as offensive performances, including the utilization of a cross for pole dancing, which they perceived as a mockery of their religious beliefs.

Pamphlets disseminated by Catholics for Catholics encouraged individuals to participate in a “devout response” against the Dodgers’ decision to honor the “blasphemous, Christ-ridiculing” Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. The gathering gained significant support, with the group proudly declaring a turnout exceeding 5,000 individuals.

“A massive group of Catholics and Christians have arrived outside of Dodger Stadium to pray in protest of the Dodgers honoring the “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.”

Despite the controversy, the Dodgers proceeded with their planned ceremony during Pride Night. Two members of the drag troupe, “Sister Unity” and “Sister Dominia,” received an award on the field while a small number of spectators watched, cheering and even more booing.

“DODGER STADIUM-The “Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence” are recognized for Pride night to a mostly empty audience.

The stadium announcer lauded the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence as “commendable figures” within the community, disregarding their controversial nature. Critics strongly contest their portrayal of the Catholic faith. The game drew a sizable crowd of 49,074 fans, but only a handful showed up for the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. The San Francisco Giants emerged victorious with a 7-5 win in the 11th inning. It’s important to note that some tickets may have been purchased at a discounted price after the game commenced, resulting in minimal attendance for the anti-Catholic Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence.

  1. Since I am not a season ticket holder of any major league baseball team, it is easy for me not to attend events that I consider against my values. If I were a season ticket holder, I would demand reimbursement for that ticket. (Of course I understand I would not be reimbursed.) I am fortunate that my favorite team, the Texas Rangers, do not have a scheduled “Pride” night game. PRIDE, what a misnomer.

  2. Hey, I have an idea: let all of the freakshow participants go over to a mosque, or any other public venue and mock Islam. See how long that lasts.

  3. The Dirtbag Dodgers thankfully lost the game and I hope their losing streak is permanent. I am through with the Dodgers and the Anaheim Angels after the Mayor of Anaheim and the Angels sponsored the “Sisters” after the Dodgers rescinded their invitation. It seems these Companies don’t learn their lessons from Bud Light, Target, Nike, et al.

  4. When the “doggers” we’re in Brooklyn you were Known as the BUMS! Now in LA, your Known as the LA GAY! How does that fit with the (BALLS) your now Playing with?
