A Swansea, Massachusetts Target manager, Tori, came under a contemptuous tweetstorm all because she would not sell an entitled journalist a toothbrush for a penny.

David Leavitt, who claims to have written for CBS and Yahoo, vented on Twitter that a female Target employee refused to sell him an Oral-B electric toothbrush with a “display price” of $0.01. According to Massachusetts Item Pricing Law, grocery stores must individually price mark most items with the actual selling price. The law compels merchants to sell items not meeting those guidelines at the lowest price indicated on an item, sign, or advertisement.

The immediate problem for Leavitt is that this was a display toothbrush. Secondly, he’s a grown man calling the police because the store manager wasn’t in the mood for his shenanigans.

Seriously, police officers had to take time from investigating legitimate crimes to venture over to Target and explain to Leavitt if he wants the damned toothbrush, he’ll have to take the retail giant to court.

The blue checkmark crybaby felt the need to further justify his temper tantrum, claiming he hadn’t been able to afford to go to the dentist for three years and was “thrilled” by the prospect of getting an $89 Oral-B Pro 5000 for one cent.

There’s just one problem.

A dive into Leavitt’s Twitter account shows he was in a dentist’s office waiting room on the morning of April 24, 2018. It seems he felt the need for instant gratification from his lemmings followers after courageously turning off Fox News on the waiting room’s television.

Someone should check my math, but by my calculations, that’s less than two years ago.

But facts and logic won’t get in the way of this fearless reporter – who did what any adult would do: try to shame Tori by posting her photograph online. Wait – what?

The public roared to Tori’s defense, shredding Leavitt’s shameless attacks on a young woman doing her job.

Pro-Trump Twitter memesmith Carpe Donktum started a GoFundMe for Tori, who, after dealing with this jabroni, deserves a vacation.

The initial goal was to raise $5,000. But overnight Tori became the perfect archetype for anyone who’s ever worked in retail and had to deal with total jerks patiently before going home to take care of her family.

So far, donations have reached $31,800.

That’s one hell of a vacation or a helluva lot of dental appointments.
