An Instagram fitness model has completely given up her vegan lifestyle after crediting an all-meat diet for restoring her health.
“I had my own fair share of health struggles and eventually reached a breaking point where I was willing to try anything to function properly again,” Alyse Parker told her 214,000 followers in a post announcing her change.
Parker, previously best known for her photos showing off her muscle tone, is now an advocate for the “Carnivore Diet.”
“I started to hear story after story from my fellow vegan friends jumping ship, testing out the carnivore diet and experiencing amazing health transformations,” she said.
“I swallowed my pride + decided I’d give it a shot. Full onnn carnivore. I woke up the next morning feeling more mentally clear, focused, wholesome, and healthy than I had felt in years,” said Parker. “God bless. But also, WTF? My vegan identity crumbled immediately.”
“In hopes of challenging others to step out of their current perspective ~ I documented my newest challenge of eating only meat for 30 days,” she concluded.
Parker’s vegan lifestyle was one of several “experiments” she’s tried in recent years, such as 30 days without shampoo, a year without deodorant, 21 days of only fruit juice, 30 days without social media and three years of not shaving her armpits, wearing makeup or using heat on her hair.
The post already has over 15,000 likes and a flood of supplies, including former vegans calling the lifestyle a “cult” and vegan activists slamming her.
