An Iowa voter – and Elizabeth Warren supporter – voiced his concern about the optics of Hunter Biden having served on the board of a Ukrainian gas company while his father was vice president.
The man then accused the former vice president of selling access to the Obama administration.
Joe Biden wasn’t having any of it and turned what would have otherwise been an uneventful town hall into a PR disaster.
Biden, furious at the insinuation of wrongdoing and sensitive to concerns he’s too old, challenged the man to a feat of strength and trivia. (Daily Caller)
“I’m not sedentary,” Biden said. “Look, the reason I’m running is because I’ve been around a long time and I know more than most people know. That’s why I’m running. And you want to check my shape, man, let’s do push-ups together here, man, let’s run, let’s do whatever you want to do, let’s take an IQ test.”
Then he appeared to call his fellow Democrat “fat.”
Despite video evidence to the contrary, the Biden campaign is claiming otherwise.
To be clear: Any assertion VP Biden said a word about the gentleman’s appearance is making this something it is not. In the latter part of the exchange, the VP began to say “Look, facts” then said “here’s the deal.” If you’ve been to a Biden event, you’ve heard this before.
