After the illegal occupation and annexation of Crimea, Russia deployed nuclear weapon platforms, more specifically the Iskander-M short-range ballistic missile and Backfire bomber, to the peninsula.
The nuclear chest-thumping by Putin was met with no meaningful resistance.
