Just weeks after Democrat presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke admitted plans to ban the popular AR-15 rifle include mandatory confiscation of currently-owned firearms, the radical leftist told a crowd in Colorado he’s looking at forcibly confiscating all semi-automatic firearms in America.
O’Rourke, holding a “town hall meeting” in Aurora, Colorado to press his gun confiscation agenda, was taking questions from the audience when he called upon Evan Todd, one of several survivors of the 1999 Columbine High School mass shooting who supports gun rights.
“My name is Evan Todd, and I am a survivor of the Columbine massacre. I was the first student that was shot in the library. And I was the last one to talk to the two murderers before they committed suicide,” Todd began.
“I understand you want to implement a mandatory buyback for AR-15s and AK-47s,” he continued. “None of my classmates were murdered with those weapons. Fifty percent of mass murders don’t happen with those weapons. Don’t you think it’s time to get rid of all semi-auto firearms?”
The crowd howled in approval.
But Todd was laying a trap.
“I wanted a clear answer from Beto of where he draws the line, but never got one. To answer my own question on if we should ban guns, the answer is: HELL NO!,” he later tweeted.

And O’Rourke swallowed the bait.
Rather than tell Todd a total ban on all semi-automatic firearms isn’t necessary, O’Rourke embraced the possibility.
“I would love to have your help. If you want to sit down with us and talk about kinds of weapons that are going to be important to be regulated, I’m here with you and want to listen to you,” O’Rourke said.
Will this be the moment Democrats admit they plan to confiscate all firearms currently owned by peaceful Americans?
