The Ku Klux Klan is a historical organization that committed many terroristic acts against African Americans in the south during the late 1800s and throughout the 1900s. Their infamy is well known but their activism isn’t, few know that the Klan tried to get gun control in majority-black communities so that the residents would be defenseless. Democrat President Woodrow Willson held a screening of the film “Birth of a Nation”, a film the Klan used to restart its movement in the 1920s.
