Students at the University of Virginia demanded that the statue of the school’s founder and the third president of the United States, Thomas Jefferson, be taken down.
The Founding father has been slandered as a racist and a rapist by the students who are protesting. The school has tried their best to avoid talking about the Jefferson statues and decided to remove many of the other statues that are on the campus.
