If you can’t love The Flag and denounce al Qaeda, why are you in The Capitol?

Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) declared at a press conference yesterday she will refuse to answer anymore whether she’ll condemn al-Qaeda after any terror attacks.
While the mainstream media provided cover to Omar, the Navy SEAL who fired the shots that killed Bin Laden was more critical (see above).
No one condones inciting violence. It’s a fact that Congresswoman Omar has a history of controversial statements that the media has largely overlooked.
Whether this mere liberal bias or reporters afraid of being perceived as racists is unclear.
The Federalist’s Madeline Osburn further reports:
“I will not dignify it with an answer because I know that every single Islamophobe, every single person who is hateful, who is driven by an ideology of ‘othering’ as this president is, rejoices in us responding to that and us defending ourselves,” Omar said.
“I do not expect every time there is a white supremacist who attacks or there is a white man who kills in a school or in a movie theater, or in a mosque, or in a synagogue, I don’t expect my white community members to respond on whether they love that person or not. And so I think it is beyond time, it is beyond time to ask Muslims to condemn terrorists. We are no longer going to allow the dignification of such ridiculous — ridiculous statement,” she said.
Of course, the mainstream media and progressives have regularly asked Republicans if they condone language that allegedly incited violence before lone wolf attacks, such as in Charlottesville.
The far-left also ignored Omar’s use of anti-Semitic tropes and extreme opinions.
She recently appeared to defend Hamas after terrorists fired a barrage of rockets at civilian targets in Israel.
How many more protesters must be shot, rockets must be fired, and little kids must be killed until the endless cycle of violence ends?
The status quo of occupation and humanitarian crisis in Gaza is unsustainable. Only real justice can bring about security and lasting peace.
