Robert Mueller dropped a bombshell on Washington, D.C.

But it wasn’t the one liberals had hoped for.

Bottom line: there was insufficient evidence to charge any member of the Trump administration with collusion during the 2016 election.

The special counsel resigned minutes ago in a stunning press conference saying his 400-page report has sufficiently been made available to Congress by Attorney General William Barr.

The outgoing special counsel’s statement, according to Mueller himself, will be the only time he intends to comment on his findings after a two-year investigation. 

The revelation – which reiterates everything in the report – comes much to the chagrin of Democrats:

Mueller confirmed no one close to the president was under threat of being charged.

He added it was critical for his team to obtain full and accurate information, unlike the Steele dossier.

The report has two parts, firstly addressing Russian attempts to meddle in our election.

The second part chronicles allegations of the administration’s obstruction of justice during the investigation. Mueller decided there was not sufficient evidence to charge the president, as cited in the introductory portion of the second section made available to Congress by Barr.

Today’s statement is Mueller’s final position. Unlike cable news pundits, Mueller expressed no desire to fuel speculation about the report. 

Mueller said any appearance before Congress wouldn’t go further than what his findings explicitly state; in other words, it would be a waste of time. 

“I don’t believe it would be appropriate to comment further,” he flatly said. 

Mueller appreciated Barr’s willingness to make the report largely public and never questioned the attorney general’s motives.

The dedicated federal agent promptly returned to private life, refusing to take any questions.
