Fox News anchor Chris Wallace doesn’t seem all that impressed with Attorney General William Barr.
The host of Fox News Sunday claimed on air that Barr is operating as a personal advocate for President Donald Trump. (Mediaite)
Speaking on America’s Newsroom and reacting to Bill Hemmer’s interview with Barr Friday, Wallace said it appears Trump now has an attorney general that he believes will act as personal defense for him, contrasting Barr with former attorney general Jeff Sessions.
“What really comes across to me most of all is that for two years Donald Trump sat there and said I don’t have an attorney general. I don’t have somebody out there looking for and protecting my interests. He clearly has that now with Bill Barr,” Wallace said.
“He clearly is protecting this president and advocating his point of view on a lot of these issues,” Wallace noted.
In a portion of his interview with Hemmer Friday, Barr took a swipe at congressional Democrats and critics who had claimed acted in contempt of Congress.
Yes he’s the #one jackass telling the news just like his father.
