Fox News host Laura Ingraham trained her sights at colleague Chris Wallace today, accusing him of siding with the liberal media over his commentary of special counsel Robert Mueller’s letter to William Barr.
The Hill’s Owen Daugherty reports:
Calling into “America’s Newsroom” before Barr testified to the Senate Judiciary Committee, Ingraham knocked other news networks for the “frosty frenzy” that took place after reports surfaced Tuesday evening that Mueller sent a letter to Barr voicing his concerns with Barr’s presentation of Mueller’s findings in the report.
“I know Chris Wallace, at the top of your hour, was indicating, I guess, that he kind of agrees with these other cable networks that this was an attempt by the [Department of Justice] DOJ to spin what the conversation was between Barr and Mueller,” she said.
Ingraham added that she doesn’t “know if Chris Wallace has information that I don’t have, but that he is saying that Barr is perpetuating a lie about this conversation between him and Mueller?”
Ingraham made fun of other networks, with which she says Wallace appears to agree, for having a “meltdown” in their coverage of Mueller’s letter, which was first reported by The Washington Post.
Barr has vigorously defended his handling of the Mueller investigation during his testimony today before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
